আমাদের ভাগ্য নির্ভর করে আমাদের অর্থনৈতিক প্রতিষ্ঠা বা অবস্থার উপর। এই ভাগ্য তিনটি স্তম্ভের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে আছে।

ধরুন, খুব ধনী পরিবারের একটি শিশু একটি নার্সিং হোমের পঞ্চম তলায় জন্মগ্রহণ করে। সেই সঙ্গে নার্সিংহোমের নীচে ফুটপাতে অত্যন্ত দরিদ্র এক শিশুর জন্ম হয়। তাহলে দুজনের অস্ট্রোলোজিক্যাল চার্ট একই হবে। কিন্তু দুজনের ভাগ্য কি এক হবে?
না, দুজনের ভাগ্য এক হবে না। সেই ভাগ্য, মানে , যেটা আমাদের অর্থনৈতিক প্রতিষ্ঠা বা মর্যাদা দেয় । দরিদ্র ছেলেটি তার ভাগ্য গঠনের জন্য তার পরিবার এবং পরিবেশ থেকে কোন সাহায্য পাবে না। তাই ভাগ্যের জন্য পরিবেশ খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

অনেকের মতে, এই মনের জোর, ইচ্ছাশক্তি এসব নয়। ভাগ্যে যা আছে তাই হবে। ভাগ্যং ফলতি সর্বত্র - আমি এটা বিশ্বাস করি না। সবকিছু যদি ভাগ্যের ব্যাপার হয় , তাহলে ছেলে-মেয়েদের লেখাপড়ার দরকার নেই। ভাগ্যে যদি লেখা থাকে আমার ছেলে ডাক্তার হবে , তখন তাই হবে । ধরুন আমি আজ দিল্লি যাবো । আমি যদি বলি ভাগ্য আমাকে নিয়ে দিল্লি যাবে এবং আমি বাড়িতে বসে থাকবো। তাহলে আমি কি দিল্লি যেতে পারবো ? তাই আমি বলি আমাদের ভাগ্য নির্ভর করে আমাদের ইচ্ছাশক্তির উপর।
